Tri07 / Joe Beck

 Joe Beck’s love of playing in threesomes is evidenced in “Tri07,” his second trio release on Whaling City Sound. This time, Beck is partnered with bassist Santi Debriano and drummer Thierry Arpino, as they join forces on ten tracks, including two Joe Beck originals. A fresh version of Coltrane’s “Impressions” starts things off right, along with other offerings such as “But Beautiful,” “Alone Together” and Bing Crosby’s “You and the Night and the Music.” Recorded by Engineer Alec Head, this release will reward listeners with the desire to hear free-flowing Jazz in the trio format.
