The New Bedford Knockabout |
Pumpkin Head Ted |
Pumpkin Head Ted started as a pick-up trio playing in downtown New Bedford, Massachusetts in 1995. In the last fifteen years, this band has developed into a diverse five-piece unit. Many years playing together has certainly made the band more sophisticated acoustically, but one thing has remained since the start; Their knack and passion for playing funky eclectic music that coming from several influences and traditions with a variety of textures that makes you want to clap your hands, stomp your feet, and dance your heart out. For an example of their unique take on things musically, check out their rendition of Led Zeppelin's "Dazed and Confused," which transitions into Jane's Addiction's "Of Course," and back to Dazed and Confused. Eight originals and three more cover tunes round out the thirteen unique tracks on this great CD that begs to be heard.
